Just rename your folder and remove the extension. If your having trouble renaming it, try renaming it in the command line by typing

ren old_name new_name

windows sometimes hides the extensions of the folder/files. So it is much easier to rename it in the command line where you could see the extension.

Another solution would be to show the extensions of the file. Just go to My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View.  Make sure to unchecked the option "Hide extensions for known file types"
