hey sobra ra kaaau ka miss..and besides your not in the right place...yea i understand your concern but you dont need to talk like that...its up to admins on how to deal with it...and besides its always been expected in an internet community...every forum you go..there is always a case like this...

i have a question about movies which are shown in your cinemas and their language.

when i visited your country for some times, i also watched some movies in your cinemas.
but those movies were mostly in english language.
so i was wondering if some famous movies are also shown as a translated version into tagalog or maybe cebuano.
i'm asking because i know, that not that many people are able to understand this spoken language completely (me included).
and i just would like to get the info to understand a little bit better.

i mean, we all learn english in school, but how much of the spoken english are we able to understand when we watch
a movie in the cinema?
I need to watch a english movie at least twice to get it right and if they speak some kind of slang, i just loose it.

so if somebody wanna talk about some good movies her in the forum it might end up in a misunderstanding.

maybe this post is stupid, but if we don't understand each other, it's better to realize,
that we should take some more time to do so without jumping to the nearest favorite conclusion :roll:

My question is, what do you think by yourself, how many percent of the spoken english in a movie do you understand?

hehehe..i know the question itself was a little bit confusing.
i only asked to get a better understanding and i wanted to know if some of the great movies are also availabe
in your language, because as you know, not everybody is able to understand english that weel
(i also search for a copy of harry potter in tagalog or better cebuano as a present for somebody which can't speak english).

by spoken english i mean, the actual spoken language in a movie for example (not the subtitles).
i just wanted to know how much of it you actually understand when you watch a movie in english.
if i watch one, i mostly switch on also the subtitles, but that way i'm  busy by reading and not watching.
my question has no big purpose, i wanted to know, that's all.

when i was once in france, i figured out, that they also have shown many movies in the cinemas only in english,
because they don't translate that much into french. also the people there don't like to speak english that much.
same in japan, my boss told me once, that they all learn a very good english in school, but they actually not wan't to
use it, if they can avoid it (maybe because of some historical isues).

if i would travel to a deep province here on the philippines, do you think, that there is always somebody which is able
to understand english, or do you seggest not to do so without somebody who can translate?

by the way, how much of the spoken english do you understand if you watch a movie? :-)
